Privacy Policy

Account Information

When you create or use a DadShred account we may collect your first name, email address, an account identifier, and the authentication information required to access your account securely (for example a hashed password or a sign-in token issued by your identity provider).

If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, that provider may share your email address and an account identifier with us, subject to the privacy settings you choose with that provider (including Apple’s option to hide your email). DadShred never receives or stores your Apple or Google password.

Fitness and Workout Information

The training information you create in the app, which can include:

• Workouts and exercises performed
• Sets, reps and weights logged
• Session duration, cardio finishers and completion status
• Training history and training blocks/programmes
• Personal bests and progression suggestions
• Exercise preferences (favourites, excluded movements, units)
• Training notes, including notes you dictate by voice

Body and Progress Information

If you choose to use these features, we also handle body weight entries, body measurements (for example waist, chest, arms) and progress photos you add. This information is optional — you can use DadShred’s workout tracking without it — but a feature you choose to use (such as a physique review) requires the data it is based on.

Technical and Usage Information

When you use the app we and our infrastructure providers may process technical information such as device and operating system information, app version, IP address, request logs, error and diagnostic information, and authentication/security events (for example sign-in attempts and session refreshes). DadShred does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking software, and we do not use this information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

Progress photos are entirely optional. Photos you add are compressed and kept on the device where you added them and, when you are signed in, uploaded to private cloud storage in your DadShred account so they are available on your other devices. They are stored in a private area that only your signed-in account can access, and are not public.

If you request a physique review, the selected photos are sent from your device to our server and then to an AI model (Google, via the Lovable AI gateway) to generate the written feedback, which is saved back into the app alongside the photo. Photos are not used for advertising and are not used to build advertising profiles.

You can delete individual photos and their generated reports in the app at any time, which removes both the copy on your device and the copy in your cloud storage.

We use a small number of providers to run DadShred. They process information only to provide their service to us:

• Lovable — application hosting and the managed backend platform DadShred runs on.
• Supabase — authentication (accounts, sessions, password reset and verification emails) and the database that stores your synced training data.
• Apple and Google — optional sign-in providers, used only if you choose “Continue with Apple” or “Continue with Google”.
• Google and OpenAI (via the Lovable AI gateway) — AI models used to generate physique reviews from photos you submit for that purpose, to write your coaching reports from your logged training data, and speech-to-text when you dictate a note with the voice input button.

DadShred does not currently include advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, or payment providers.

Your training data is held locally on your device and, when you are signed in, in your account record in our hosted database. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect your information, including authenticated access to your account data and access controls on our backend. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your information for as long as it is needed to provide DadShred and maintain your account, and for legitimate security, dispute-resolution and legal purposes. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the associated personal information we hold unless we are legally required to keep it. Residual copies may persist for a limited period in our providers’ routine backups before being overwritten.

You can delete your account from inside the app: go to Settings → Account, open the danger zone, and confirm by typing DELETE.

This is a genuine deletion, not a logout or deactivation. It removes your synced training record and your stored progress photos from our systems and deletes your authentication account, then clears the app’s local data on that device and signs you out. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. Copies held on other devices are removed by clearing local data or deleting the app on those devices.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your information, a copy of your information in a portable format, withdrawal of consent where we rely on consent, and objection to or restriction of certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app, or contact us using the details below.

DadShred is not intended for children under 13, or under any higher minimum age required by applicable law in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If we become aware that we have, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for those transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, our data practices or legal requirements change. The current version and its “last updated” date will always be available in the app and on our website.
